Floyd Mayweather launches initiative to give birthday gifts to orphans

Floyd Mayweather, the undefeated boxing champion, has announced a new charity initiative aimed at supporting Israeli orphans, pledging to bring them birthday gifts over the next year.

In an Instagram post shared Sunday night, the former US national featherweight champion detailed the Mayweather Israel Initiative, a plan through which the “Floyd Mobile” will visit all orphans in Israel and deliver to them special birthday gifts. The release coincided with Mayweather’s appearance at a Standing Together event in Israel, just hours before his online announcement.

“Over the next year, all orphans in Israel will be visited by the Floyd Mobile and will receive special birthday gifts.” Mayweather wrote. “To all widows and orphans: keep your heads held high as we honor the precious memories of those who have passed away.”

Mayweather expressed gratitude to Shai Graucher, founder of Chessed V’Rachamim (also known as Standing Together), an organization known for a variety of charitable efforts, including supporting IDF bases and organizing trips for widows and orphans.

Since the events of October 7, Mayweather has expressed his support for Israel. He was one of the first high-profile figures to visit the country after the attacks and has consistently contributed to Israeli organizations, including United Hatzalah and Magen David Adom.
