Promoter Eddie Hearn named Ryan Garcia, Teofimo Lopez and Devin Haney as targets for newly crowned IBF light welterweight champion Richardson Hitchins (19-0, 7 KOs) to fight next following his decision win split over 12 rounds over undefeated champion Liam Paro (25). -1, 15 KOs) last Saturday night at the Roberto Clemente Coliseum, in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

Paro would have been more successful if it had used Gustavo Lemos’s method of all-out attacks. It is strange that Paro did not follow the model of Lemos and instead tried to surpass Hitchins. With that approach, he lost any chance of winning.
Interestingly, Hearn didn’t seem too happy after the fight, suggesting he expected Paro to win. In the lead-up to last Saturday’s Paro-Hitchins fight, Hearn spoke about the possibility of pitting Paro against Kambosos in a big contest in Australia. That fight is no longer possible after last night.
