50 cents weigh themselves Jay-Zrecent legal issues.
Amid reports that Jay-Z accused of raping a 13-year-old girl in the lawsuit filed on Sunday, Dec. 8, 50 Cent made several jokes at Jay’s expense on Monday, Dec. 9, including questioning the status of the 2025 Super Bowl halftime show. Later on Monday, he made a joke about Jay attending Monday’s premiere Mufasa with his wife Beyonceand their daughter Blue Ivy so soon after the allegations surfaced.
However, 50 Cent — real name Curtis Jackson — had a more serious reaction to the news during a Monday interview with a radio host Big boy.
“I’m asking for Kendrick. I’m just trying to figure out if we’re still doing everything,” the 49-year-old rapper explained. his contribution X about next year Super Bowl Halftime Show set to be in the header Kendrick Lamar. (Jay-Z’s Roc Nation produced the halftime show as of 2020.)
50 Cent also predicted that the NFL could end its partnership with Jay-Z (real name Shawn Carter) and Roc Nation as a result of the allegations. “They’re going to step back … the NFL, they’re not necessarily going to be associated with it,” he said.
In a lawsuit filed Sunday, Jay-Z and the jailed rap mogul Sean “Diddy” Combsboth 55, were accused of sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl at an afterparty following the 2000 MTV Video Music Awards. they vehemently denied claims against them.
Jay-Z said in a statement released for My Weekly on Sunday: “My wife and I will have to sit our children down, one of whom is at an age where her friends will surely see the press and question the nature of these claims and explain the cruelty and greed of people. “
“I just hope it’s okay for him internally in the crib,” 50 said, referring to Jay’s statement during the interview with Big Boy. “They said in a statement that his daughter (Blue Ivy) is old enough (to understand). She’s about 13. So she’s the same age as his kids, which (they) say he did.” (Jay and Beyoncé have a daughter, Blue, 12, and twins, Sira and Rumi, 8.)
50 Cent, who has been involved in many legal battles of his own over the years, also hinted that often with accusations of misconduct like those facing Jay and Diddy, “It’s not what you did. They said you did it.”
He added: “The damage is done by the accusation itself.”
50 Cent was also asked if he thinks Diddy is “cooked” — if Diddy’s career is over — after he was arrested in September and charged with racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking and transportation for prostitution. Since his arrest, Diddy has faced several civil disputes they accused him of rape and other sexual abuse. (Diddy has denied any wrongdoing.)
“When we think about all these different allegations, it’s piling up — it’s cooked,” 50 Cent speculated. “But I don’t know how much of that will actually translate into what he’s up against.
“Public opinion is washed up.” It is washed. They washed him,” he added.
