Blue blood premiered on CBS in September 2010 and introduced the world to the Reagan police family—and fans had to say goodbye at the end of season 14.
Only Caria leads the family on the show as former New York Police Commissioner Henry Reagan; his son Frank (Tom Selleck), will play the current PC; Frank’s son Danny (Donnie Wahlberg) plays a detective and his younger son Jamie (Will Estes) is a sergeant; Frank’s daughter Erin (Bridget Moynahan). When the series began, Frank and his family were grieving the loss of their oldest son, Joe Reagan, who only appears in flashbacks.
Although the show started with many other stars – incl Jennifer Esposito as Detective Jackie Curatola – the six actors above are the only ones who have been part of the show from start to finish.
CBS announced it in November 2023 The 14th season will be the last. Viewers were treated to the first batch of episodes starting in February 2024 and the second part ending in December of that year.
