Serhii Bohachuk is optimistic about remaining on this Saturday’s card in Riyadh after his previously scheduled opponent, Israil Madrimov, withdrew from the contest. Former WBC interim junior middleweight champion Bohachuk (24-2, 23 KOs) will face Ismael Davis (13-1, 6 KOs) in the 12-round co-feature slot in the rematch between Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk at Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Arabia.
Even with Madrimov withdrawing from the fight, Bohachuk vs. Davis is still by far the best fight on the Fury-Usyk 2 card. There is nothing on the card once you get past the Bohachuk fight, which is sad. Ishmael Davis has no chance of beating Bohachuk, but he’ll give it a good try before getting blasted in six rounds. Davis can’t hit and has the British level.

It’s a depressing card skewed towards British fans – the simple, ultra-hardcore variety. They aren’t too happy with mediocre fights, mostly national level fighters who will never be champions or even contenders.
Surprisingly, Turki Alalshikh did not put limits on the promoters, and this will NOT happen. If I were the money man, I would laugh at the promoters if they offered me these same fights. These fights are so terrible that it’s incredible that any of them appeared on this card.
Turki should ditch the card and find some last-minute replacements because none of them are worthy of being on a PPV card, even a low-level one. These are small salon-type fights.
Madrimov suffered a case of acute bronchitis, which surprised incredulous fans. He will fight Vergil Ortiz Jr. on February 22 in Riyadh.
Bohachuk-Davis could steal the show from the Fury-Usyk 2 main event rematch at the Kingdom Arena if they go to war on Saturday night. Former WBC interim junior middleweight champion Bohachuk’s fight against Vergil Ortiz Jr. on August 10 was one of the most exciting fights this year, as both guys were dropping bombs.
Vergil Jr. went down in the eighth round after being knocked down for the second time by Bohachuk. After that knockdown, Ortiz Jr. got on his bike and went into survival mode for the final four rounds to win a controversial 12-round majority decision. Most would agree that Vergil Jr. didn’t win, but it was Las Vegas; It goes with the territory.
“I have a good opponent, I have a good show. Of course, I’m angry with) Madrimov. Now it’s okay, I have an opponent, I have a show,” Serhii Bohachuk told Fight Hub TVin reaction to Israil Madrimov’s withdrawal from his fight this Saturday, December 21 in Riyadh.
Ishmael Davis lost his last fight to Josh Kelly by 12-round majority decision on September 21 on the Anthony Joshua vs. Daniel Dubois at Wembley Stadium in London. It’s unknown why Turki didn’t use Kelly as Bohachuk’s opponent instead of the guy he beat, Davis.
That would have made a lot more sense, but even Kelly would be a bad choice. Bohachuk would destroy both him and Davis, and will definitely make his job easier on Saturday. This is a terrible mismatch.
