Google Labs, the experimental arm of Google Testing a new image generator called Whisk. This tool allows people to apply with images instead of text, allowing them to remix a photo by changing the subject, scene, and style.
Whisk uses Imagen 3, Google’s image creation model, to combine three images: one for subject, one for scene, and one for style. For example, you can choose your own photo as the theme, a futuristic landscape as the scene, and an anime style for the final look.
The model automatically generates a detailed caption of your images, which is then used to guide Imagen 3 in creating a remix of the image. You can also include text suggestions to further define your desired result, including detailed descriptions such as “The subject rides a flying bicycle.”
Because Whisk only focuses on a few key features from each image, the company explains, the results may not always meet your expectations. For example, the created object may differ in height, weight, hairstyle or skin tone. Google says you can view and edit key notifications at any time.
The experience is currently only available to users located in the United States labs.google/whisk.
