García to Bill Haney: “Let me know when you want Devin to fall again”

Ryan Garcia responded to Bill Haney on social media after he asked him if he would withdraw from his December 24 exhibition bout against Japanese kickboxer Rukiya Anpo due to failing to make weight of 153 pounds for the bout.

Kingry noted that Bill has been talking about him “non-stop” and wants him to let him know when his son, Devin Haney, “falls again.” Ryan defeated former WBC light welterweight champion Haney on April 20 in front of a crowd of 19,000 fans at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

Will Garcia-Haney 2 happen?

Garcia agreeing to give Haney (31-0, 15 KOs) a rematch would likely be music to Bill’s ears, as he seems eager for that fight to take place in 2025 once Ryan’s one-year suspension expires. .

Bill wants Ryan to sign up for drug testing before the rematch can happen. There are also the negotiations, which can be a nightmare. If Bill has decided that Devin should be the A-side in the negotiations, the rematch probably won’t happen.

According to Bill, Devin is taking a year off. He hasn’t said when he’ll fight next, but he’s likely hoping the fight with Ryan could happen in the first half of 2025.

If Bill really wants a rematch, it would be helpful if they dropped the lawsuit and made peace with Ryan. He wants to help Devin by hitting him again, but that won’t work in the current situation.

Garcia is in demand and can make a lot of money fighting a rematch against Gervonta Davis, Teofimo Lopez, Jaron Ennis and Shakur Stevenson.

Superstar Garcia withdrew from the exhibition match due to a wrist injury he suffered during training. The match will be rescheduled at a later date.
