BBC’s Rosenberg challenges Vladimir Putin on 25-year Russian rule

The BBC’s Russia editor Steve Rosenberg questioned Vladimir Putin on whether he has “taken care of” Russia during his 25 years in office.

At the president’s annual year-end news conference, Rosenberg reminded Putin how his predecessor, Boris Yeltsin, told him to take care of the country when he handed over power.

In response, Putin said Russia had “regained its sovereignty.”
