Sean “Diddy” Combs appeared in court on Wednesday, December 18, where a federal judge warned of any “surprises” in the upcoming trial.
Diddy, 55, and his attorney appeared in federal court for a status conference, he said People. Judge Arun Subramanian they requested that all updates to the movement plan be set by 3 January 2025 to “avoid any last-minute surprises”.
Diddy is next scheduled to appear in court on March 17, 2025.
Diddy was indicted by a grand jury in September shortly before to be arrested for sex trafficking, extortion, conspiracy and transportation for the purpose of prostitution. The 14-page indictment – alleged that Diddy “abused, threatened and coerced women and others around him” for decades.
Diddy has denied the allegations and has pleaded not guilty. He was a disgraced music mogul returned to the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn and refused bail on four separate attempts.
The trial date for Sean “Diddy” Combs was scheduled following his arrest on sex trafficking and racketeering charges. He’s an imperfect person, but he’s not a criminal.”
The statement continued: “To his credit, Mr. Combs has only cooperated with this investigation and voluntarily relocated to New York last week in anticipation of these charges. Please reserve judgment until you have all the facts. These are the actions of an innocent man with nothing to hide and he looks forward to clearing his name in court.”
Diddy dropped his latest bail application earlier this month. According to court documents filed on Friday, December 13, Diddy voluntarily waived his appeal and will remain at MDC pending trial. The trial is scheduled to begin in May 2025.
