Four killed in helicopter crash at Turkish hospital Via Reuters

ANKARA (Reuters) – Four people were killed in southwestern Turkey on Sunday when an ambulance crashed into a hospital building and crashed.

The helicopter was taking off from the Mugla Teaching and Research Hospital, carrying two pilots, a doctor and another medical worker, the health ministry said in a statement.

The governor of Mugla district, Idris Akbiyik, told reporters that the helicopter first hit the fourth floor of the hospital building before falling to the ground. No one was injured inside the building or on the ground. The cause of the accident, which occurred during thick fog, is being investigated.

Images from the site showed debris from the accident scattered around the area outside the hospital building, with several ambulances and emergency teams in the area.
