KYIV (Reuters) – Ukrainian air defenses shot down 52 of 103 Russian drones launched overnight, Ukraine’s military said on Sunday.
The military said on Telegram that it had lost 44 drones, and one had moved from Ukrainian territory to Belarus.
The military did not provide information about the fate of the remaining drones.
However, they said that in the regions of Kherson, Mykolaiv, Chernihiv, Sumy, Zhytomyr and Kyiv, private businesses and apartment buildings were damaged by the Russian attack.
The army added: “By trying, without injuries.”
Local authorities said debris from one of the downed drones fell on the roof of a multi-storey building in Kyiv, causing a fire.
