Lindsey Hubbard and her boyfriend aren’t currently living together — but that doesn’t mean it’s off the table.
The Summer house star recently gave birth to her first child, daughter Gemma, on December 8 the interview was published by People on Saturday, December 21, the 38-year-old reality star opened up about her situation as a new mom.
She says that while she and her boyfriend don’t live together, he “spent the night and was by my side 24/7 all last month.”
Her boyfriend, whose identity she has kept secret, is also the father of her new baby.
“Even though this is technically my apartment, this is our main residence for our daughter and I,” she explained. “He’s basically brought a lot of clothes and toiletries and he basically moves between my apartment and his, but he rarely leaves me and Gemma’s side.”
Hubbard explained her reasons for not wanting to move in with her partner right away.
“If I’ve learned anything from my past, especially in my last relationship, it’s that nothing is guaranteed,” she said. “And when you get pregnant so quickly into dating, I didn’t want to put more pressure on our relationship than the pregnancy and the baby already does — a very big, lifelong pressure.”
And while Hubbard didn’t want to press it, he also said he was “discussing” moving in with her boyfriend.
She said: “My lease expired in June.” We talk a lot about school districts and making those decisions based on where we might want to send Gemma to school.
The owner of Hubb House Nashville said she has been feeling “great” and “slightly sleep deprived” since welcoming her daughter into the world.
“My heart is so, so full,” she said. “You always hear new parents say ‘I never knew love like this existed’ and then it happens to you and you’re like, ‘Now I totally get it.’
In an exclusive interview with Us Weekly in October, Hubbard gushed about her boyfriend, calling him “the best support system, the best partner” in her final months of pregnancy.
“He comes to every appointment, whether it’s my OB or my ultrasound,” she told Us at the time. “He talks to (the child) every night. Before the flight, she puts on compression socks and ties my shoes. He is so sweet. He’s a really big support.”
Now, speaking to People in December, the Bravo star opened up about their upcoming holiday plans and explained why they opted for a low-key celebration.
“We don’t really do anything for Christmas because we can’t. It’s too fresh and too new to be exposed to too many people right now; we can’t travel until he gets his vaccines, which is two months,” she said. “So we will have a very quiet and nice Christmas at home.”
