The Clop ransomware gang is taking credit for the latest massive hack that disrupted dozens of companies

On Tuesday, the cybercriminal group listed partial names of the companies it hacked on its dark web leak site, TechCrunch has seen, but did not respond to the group’s propaganda. The gang said they plan to soon reveal the full names of the companies it hacked, with the aim of extorting victims to pay ransom to the hackers not to release their stolen files.

It’s the latest massive hack by the Clop gang, targeting file transfer tools often used by companies to share large sets of sensitive data over the internet in recent years.
