5 reasons why we’re even more obsessed with Glen Powell in 2024

2024 was the year Glen Powell — full stop.

If Powell’s looks aren’t good enough, his old one a terrier poodle mix named Brisket (@hotbrisket on Instagram) can seal the deal. While filming Twistersthe actor adopted his now-famous pup, who even got his own magazine cover. Fashion became a “Great Dane” this August, and of course Brisket was featured.

“Brisket’s best feature, I’d say, is his ability to cuddle,” Powell gushed of his pup. “If there’s a shape on your body that can be stroked remotely, it will detect it, whether it’s the top of your head, your neck, your hips or your feet. He’s just made for snuggling.”

Anyone familiar with Powell’s social media footprint knows that Brisket is also made for thirst traps.

While Powell could not appear in person when his own competition looks similar was held in Austin, Texas, he made sure to send mom Cyndy to help judge for him — and even appeared in the video to present his winning lookalike with a special prize.

“Look, I know there’s some money and a hat at stake here, but I just want to say that the winner of tonight’s contest is going to get a personal award from me,” Powell said in the video. “Now you may know that my parents make a cameo in every one of my movies, but today the winner of the Glen Powell Likeness Contest wins their parents or any family member of their choice a role in my next movie. I’m totally serious.”
