There are plenty of post-apocalyptic movies out there, but most of them have the same problem: you end up feeling as hopelessly miserable as the characters on screen. Too many directors think the key to the genre is simply to give us scene after scene of bleak despair, but what audiences really want is a film that uses a fictional future apocalypse as a lens to help us understand our present. And if you’re ready for a post-apocalyptic movie full of crunching philosophical questions and killer action sequences, then it’s time to stream a Tom Cruise movie Oblivion on Netflix.

Audiences and critics are mixed

Oblivion is worth your time
The movie obviously didn’t win over most of the critics, so why should you stream Oblivion today? First, the story feels genuinely original and helps the film easily stand out among a very crowded genre. Make no mistake, this is a movie you make for friends who think there are no new sci-fi or post-apocalyptic stories.

Can you find? Oblivion as refreshingly revolutionary as I am, or will you want to turn it off and go watch Star Wars instead? You won’t know until you are stream it on Netflix for myself. After that, you may never look at anything from the moon to the man in the mirror the same way again.
