“Our hearts are broken to let you know that Hudson Meek has gone home tonight to be with Jesus,” he said on Saturday, May 21. Instagram read. “His 16 years on this earth were far too few, but he accomplished so much and made a significant impact on everyone he met.”
The statement added: “Please pray for Hudson’s family and friends as we all process this sudden and tragic loss.”
Meek, who is survived by his parents Lani and Derek and brother Tucker, suffered blunt force injuries after falling from a moving vehicle, according to the local NBC affiliate WVTM.
Hollywood in 2024 was mourning many celebrities. Speed Racer star Christian Oliver (born Christian Klepser) died at the age of 51 in a fatal plane crash on January 5. Oliver traveled home from a Caribbean vacation with his two daughters — Madita and Annik, who he shares with wife Jessica Klepser — on Jan. 4. (…)
The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office said in a statement that Meek he died 48 hours later was ejected from the vehicle in the 1900 block of Canyon Road near Highway 31. An investigation is currently underway.
Meek’s professional acting credits date back to 2014 and include Santa Con, episodes MacGyver rebootSchool fight and Child driver. Meek portrayed the younger version Ansel Elgort‘s Baby in the 2017 film.

He has contributed so much to the spirit of our agency over the past 10 years and his loss leaves a void that will be felt deeply by all of us.”
The statement continued: “Hudson was more than just a talent, he was an inspiration and touched so many lives with his enthusiasm, kindness, smile and innate ability to light up a room and never meet a stranger. We will all remember him with great love.”
Several of Meek’s loved ones and friends paid tribute in emotional tributes on social media.
“I’m so sorry. I am keeping you all in my prayers. 🤍🙏” Descendants actress Brenna D’Amico he wrote via an Instagram comment.
Meek’s older brother Tucker replied, “I’m gonna miss you Hood.” I love you bro.”
A celebration of life service in Meek’s honor is scheduled for Saturday, December 28 in Homewood, Alabama.
“Hudson’s personality was one of a kind.” He was self-confident, convinced of his convictions, spontaneous and bright,” an obituary read. “He never let facts get in the way of a funny story and loved friendly banter. He was a joker, loved a good joke and was happiest when making others laugh. Hudson thrived in an environment that allowed me to.”
