Mike Tyson: “I feel a little depressed”

Mike Tyson recently spoke with fox sports about the mental rollercoaster he faced after his much-publicized comeback fight. Despite claiming that “payday wouldn’t change his life,” the legendary boxer confessed that he felt “a little depressed” once he lost the daily adrenaline of training. “That fight was a big rise: we were so high, we were so excited,” Tyson revealed. “The fight is over, boom. Wow, I’m a little depressed. We have to go back to our living situation, live again. “We were training for nine months.” Hearing that level of honesty from a former heavyweight champion can strike a chord with anyone, especially considering how close he is to turning 60.

Adding to the post-fight story, the finishing punch statistics from Tyson’s fight with social media sensation Jake Paul paint a vivid picture of the showdown. According fox sportsJake Paul landed 78 of 278 total punches, with 31 of 179 punches landing and 47 of 99 power punches hitting the target. Tyson, on the other hand, landed 18 of 97 total punches, including 5 of 62 punches and 13 of 35 power punches.

Shortly after the fight, Tyson hinted on social media that his time in the ring might be over for good. It’s heartbreaking to see him unable to fully enjoy his incredible achievement, reminding us that sometimes the fiercest battles occur long after the final bell.
