A few weeks back, Sarah Jessica Parker took to Instagram to share a lot of the things she carries with her on the days she shoots And just like that. The mother-of-three carried hand sanitizer, Dior lip gloss, hair clips, Papermate pens and a Tootsie lollipop in her custom canvas bag — essentials that many other mothers can carry. But what caught my eye was something nostalgic: a retro drugstore scent that smells memories, Skin Musk perfume.

Have you ever wondered what goes on behind the scenes of movies and TV shows? You might assume it’s all glitz and glamor even when the cameras aren’t rolling, but that’s not always the case. The stars are seen taking care of the daily tasks and carrying their own bags from place to place. How (…)

As Parker highlighted each item, she noted where she got them and why she considers them her favorites. As for the scent, the age-defying 59-year-old actress said: “I think… Bonne Bell Skin Musk. Nothing more to say,” with a heavy dose of IYKYK in her tone.

If you don’t remember, Bonne Bell launched the legendary lip balms that were in every Hello Kitty purse from Gen X as a kid. She also made beautiful fragrances, like Skin Musk, that all the cool kids wore. As an older Gen X herself, SJP is so in love that she still you can’t leave home without it! I didn’t know it was still available, I immediately needed to find this fragrance. As it turns out, Bonne Bell no longer makes it, but Skin Musk is still available at Walmartand shoppers say one spritz is enough to make you a pre-teen. Even better, the return is only $13!

Have you ever wanted to smell like your favorite dessert? (I know I do.) It’s not an outrageous idea—gourmet fragrances (aka fragrances with edible notes like chocolate, vanilla, toffee, toffee, and honey) are gaining in popularity. It turns out that a lot of people want to smell delicious, and Le Monde Gourmand perfumery specializes in (…)

I’m not alone in feeling nostalgic about the soft floral scent, sandalwood and musk. Crowds of shoppers raved when they found the leather scent, saying it never ceases to garner compliments. One devotee said: “I have used this musky cologne for over 40 years, back to when Bonne Bell owned it. It’s still my favorite and I still get compliments on it. It’s a great cologne at a great price.”

Another shopper agrees, writing: “I used to wear this when I was younger and when I sprayed it today it brought back so many memories. And it had the same scent as usual and lasted half a day. It’s not an exaggeration. It’s a warm and welcoming scent and you only need a little bit. It’s such a gorgeous scent. I would recommend it to anyone.”

This fragrance also earns the rare distinction of being an all-year winner. Because we’re not so patiently waiting for Carrie Bradshaw to return to our TV screens AJLT season three, we can at least have the olfactory pleasure of feeling like her. Fans say bottles regularly sell out and are not sold in stores, so shop while you can.

While I’ve always been skeptical of celebrity skin care lines, I’m a fan of celebrity fragrances. Since the glory days (aka the early 2000s) when almost every famous person came up with their own signature fragrance, the industry has seen a major shake-up. Back in 2010, there wasn’t much buzz in the celebrity fragrance space, but recently there (…)
