US Treasury systems hacked in cyberattack by China, AFP reports Via Reuters

(Reuters) – A Chinese state-backed actor was behind a cyberattack on the United States Treasury Department, which resulted in the acquisition of some of its operations, Agence France- The Presse reported on Monday, citing a letter to Congress.

The Treasury Department did not immediately respond to a Reuters request for comment.
