Lala Kent Throws Shade at Katie, Ariana’s Reaction to VPR Shakeup

Lala Kent casts a shadow on Katie Maloney and Ariana Madixreaction to The Vanderpump Rules pre-season 12 cast recast.

During the Tuesday, December 31, episode “She’s Not Skinny, But Not Fat” Podcast.Lala, 34, asked the host Amanda Hirsch about Katie and Ariana”pretending that everyone is fine” with a jolt.

“I don’t want to say I’m comfortable with it, because I’m not. It was like the best time of my life,” Lala said of her complicated reaction to the news. “But at some point you have to look at the bigger picture and say, ‘Are we even capable of continuing to shoot this?’

Lala was specifically asked about Katie’s (37) claims. she didn’t plan to to return and Ariana, 38, appeared to be “overjoyed” by the news.

“I just don’t think we could have shot it anymore. So anyone who’s OK with that, I feel like it’s a slap in the face,” added Lala, who has been at odds with Katie and Ariana since season 11. “There are times when I look around and think, ‘We realize that we have all these opportunities that are wonderful because The Vanderpump Rules?”

The Vanderpump Rules began on Bravo in 2013 as a spinoff Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Lala joined in season 4 and stayed on the show until announced in November 2024 in season 12 will feature an all-new cast.

“Without this show, no one is going to speak out — about any of us, and I’ve tried to always remember that.” I always tried to remember what brought me to this place,” Lala noted on Wednesday. “Because before The Vanderpump RulesI was just a mutt trying to beat the streets, a squirrel trying to get a nut. This show changed my whole life.”

Lala’s comments are coming after Katie revealed she said The Vanderpump Rules producers will not return prior to the casting news.

“I wasn’t planning on coming back. I decided a month ago after last season. I needed to move on in my life,” she said on her “Irreverent” podcast last month. “I talked to our producers about it and told them my decision. I personally felt ready to move on from the show. I felt that my life and where I was was going in a different direction. Mentally, emotionally, physically, spiritually, I was ready to move on from the show.”

Katie remembered to be ready for something new. “It’s been a long time. I’ve lived many lives and I’ve been through so much,” she continued. “It just got to the point where I don’t know that I can live and grow and be the version of myself that I want to be on this show.”

Meanwhile, Ariana also spoke about looking on the bright side situation.

“I’m just relieved that the public has finally been privy to the conversations we’ve had,” she exclusively said My Weekly in December. “So it’s nice that the news is out there and yeah, now I don’t have to sit here and hold it.
