Flip Off function it’s about home improvement, but the star Christina Halldivorce drama with her estranged husband, Josh Hallalready stealing the show.
In an a whole new view Josh, 44, and Christina, 41, from the upcoming HGTV show, have a tense moment driving to the project before their breakup.
“This is a competition, you have to go all out. Whatever it takes to win, I’ll do it,” Josh tells Christina in the clip.
To pump up her then-husband, Josh yells, “Halls rule!” but Christina gives him the silent treatment from the passenger seat.
“You should say it with me or repeat it or something to show you’re with me. Remember you’re Hall now,” Josh says, causing Christina to let out a deep sigh.
Josh looks at her and reminds her they are supposed to be a team. “Don’t get confused in this contest, what’s your last name,” she says in a negative tone before calling Christina on the coast “Naughty” star.
Christina claims that she just “doesn’t talk”, which infuriates Josh even more. “You know how much s— you talk and I’m just like, ‘I wish you’d shut up?'” she asks.
Christina makes an audible “uhhh” sound as they continue on their way. “My wife is already pissing me off,” Josh says, prompting Christina to ask, “Are we there yet?”
At the end of the clip, Christina meets her ex-husband and Flip Off function competitor Tarek El Moussa and he knows right away something is wrong.
“I know that look. what’s up? are you okay?” asks El Moussa, 43. Christina pauses, then tells him, “No,” revealing, “Josh and I are officially broken up.”
Christina and Josh tied the knot in April 2022. They worked on it together throughout their marriage Christina in the countrysidewhich followed Christina’s renovation efforts in Tennessee. He also appeared on Christina on the coastwhich focuses on Christina’s projects in California.

The exes have two children: Taylor, 13, and Brayden, 10.)
Whereas Josh should have had a bigger role Flip Off function than his past collaboration with Christina, that has changed both filed for divorce in July 2024. (Their legal proceedings are still ongoing she hired a legal representative with Christina Laura Water in November 2024 to speed up the process.)

In November 2024 Our confirmed that another ex-husband of Christina Ant Anstead will work with her for “part of the show.” Christina and Anstead, 45, were married from 2018 to 2020 and share a four-year-old son, Hudson.
Later that month, Christina opened up about her past relationship with Josh and their work dynamicwhich she claimed was not positive.
“When someone (feels) insecure around you and doesn’t like to see you win, it really hinders everything,” she claimed in an interview with Fun tonight at that time. “I feel like I didn’t shine bright enough to try not to make him feel weak, but who wants to live like this?”
Christina said it “wasn’t fun” and she “didn’t enjoy filming with him”, so their breakup made her job “a lot easier”.
She then claimed Josh didn’t like her “dynamic” with ex Tarek. “Some would call it ‘flirty’.” It’s more of a sibling type thing,” she added.
Tarek, for his part, exclusively speaking Our in October 2024 that he “never, ever in his life thought this show would happen” with his wife – with whom he shares son Tristan, 23 months – on one side and his ex-wife on the other.
Flip Off function promises to be a “jumping contest” between Christina and Tarek (with Heather’s help) to see which ex can “find, renovate and flip the house for the most financial gain,” according to an official press release. The winner gets “bragging rights and a first-class vacation paid for by the loser.”
Flip Off function premieres on HGTV on Wednesday, January 29th at 8pm ET and is available to stream on Max and Discovery+ the same day.
