The Southern hospitality cast came out hot during the Season 3 premiere — and not everyone was talking.
“He’s going to f— you’re gone!” TJ Dinch he warned Emmy Sharrett within the first few minutes of the premiere on Thursday, January 2, after several of their colleagues claimed that her boyfriend, Will Kulp, he was unfaithful. “I bet you ran that scumbag,” TJ yelled at Will.
While the episode set up a lot of future drama between Emmy and Will, they weren’t the couple who were fighting to start the season. In fact, most of the episode took place three months before TJ attacked Will over his alleged infidelity.
It was TJ and a former best friend Joe Bradley who had the worst relationship during the premiere after Joe said he couldn’t “trust” TJ anymore after his claims Joe teamed up with Luann de Lesseps when he briefly dated Summer house‘with Danielle Oliver.
“Joe’s connection with Luann is iconic,” Maddie Reese he told the cameras, while Joe claimed it didn’t matter if he actually had sex with him The Real Housewives of New York alum.
“Luann is such a dork. I mean, who wouldn’t want her to f-…” costar Grace Lilly she chimed in as Emmy teased, “Joe likes MILFs.” He loves them.”
While most of Joe’s teammates playfully poked fun at his rumored hookup with Luann, TJ was adamant that he “cheated” on Danielle when he got together with Luann in New York. (My Weekly broke the news in January that Luann and Joe were “all around you” at a hotel in NYC after filming the episode See what happens live with Andy Cohen.)
The rub caused Joe and TJ to have a mass fight, which the premiere said affected the entire group.

“Yes, I’m dating Joe Bradley,” Maddi revealed during the premiere, noting that former friends made things official earlier that year. “I feel like I’ve always liked Joe.
Maddi admitted: “It was just a huge risk to make it romantic. At the same time, I know that this man is in love with me.”
The last time fans saw her was Maddi breaking up with Trevor Stokes after cheating on her during season 2 of the series. Joe, meanwhile, has always had feelings for Maddie, exclusively informative Our in December 2024, which became official in April of the same year.
“I feel safe, secure. It’s all I need right now,” Maddi said during Thursday’s episode of her relationship with Joe. Even after TJ told her that Joe allegedly “cheated” on all his ex-girlfriends, Maddi didn’t panic.
For his part, Joe told the cameras, “Dreams really do come true” after “Maddi Reese finally agreed to love me.”
During season 2, Will denied kissing another woman and Emmy stood by his side. The pair have since had to navigate Will going to law school and living away from Emma, which they claimed in the premiere made them stronger.
“I’m so happy you’re back,” Emmy said, teasing, “when are you going to put a baby inside me and propose? Just kidding.”
She told the cameras that after facing “doubts” last summer, she and Will “couldn’t be better”. Emmy explained that after a year of law school, she and Will were “one year closer to getting a ring” and getting married.
Elsewhere in the episode, some of the Southern hospitality the cast claimed that Will had not been honest with Emma about their romance. “I’m just sick of her. I know we both heard Will running around talking bad to her behind her back,” TJ said Mia Alariowho confirmed that she had heard similar stories.
“Will was absolutely destroyed in the Republic. Talking about how much he hates Emmy and hates his relationship and she’s so annoying,” Mia told the cameras.
TJ added, “I heard him say, ‘I just don’t think she’s my person, and now that she’s sober, she’s not into it.'” Joe also confirmed that he heard Will say unkind things as well.
Mia no longer works at Republic Garden & Lounge, but is still friends with the cast. She even FaceTimed with TJ from Trinidad and Tobago (where she was training for Miss World) to give an update on her romance with Troy, who she started seeing during Season 2.
“Troy and I are so intensely in love it’s actually disgusting,” she admitted. “Being away from him for three months was excruciating. But I sure post a lot of pictures of my breasts. He likes that.”
TJ and newcomer Michols aren’t an item, but they did reveal that they tried going out once before the cameras started rolling. “I got drunk one night and I kissed him,” TJ told Bradley, adding that after Michols brought his car home, he left him in the vehicle.
While TJ said he was nervous at the thought of dating the 21-year-old, he continued to try to reach out to Michols during the premiere. Things got even more awkward after TJ brought Michols coffee one day.
“I was starting to have feelings,” Michols said, noting that “out of the blue” TJ brought him a drink and made him feel like he was “playing games.”
The former pals admitted they “haven’t spoken at all” in the past four months after TJ accused Joe of lying about his romance with Luann during their Season 2 reunion, which aired in February.
“Joe definitely bonded with Luann. He was dating Danielle when he got together with Luann,” TJ claimed, claiming that he was “giving Joe an opportunity to tell the truth because everyone already knew.
Joe never confirmed his connection to Luann, instead claiming that “TJ betrayed my trust” with his accusations and “sabotaged” his relationship with Danielle in the process. (Danielle and Joe he ended it in February after meeting in November 2023.)
TJ said he distanced himself from Joe after receiving a lot of mean texts from Joe calling him a “rat”. During the final moments of the premiere, Joe tried to talk to TJ, but he refused to engage.
“I’m just not ready (to talk),” TJ admitted. Joe started to walk away, declaring, “I’m done.”
Bradley and Maddi arguments throughout season 2 after both claimed the other ruined one of their past relationships by spreading negative rumours. However, they seemed to bury what was hatched by the time Season 3 began filming.
“Me and Maddi are good. I’m not going to hold on to the past,” Bradley explained and Maddi agreed. “Brad and I are cool,” she told the cameras.
Maddi and Emmy butted heads during the second season after Emmy was promoted to Assistant General Manager via DJ. Emmy was later demoted, which seemingly helped ease the tension between the women.
Emmy also revealed during the premiere that she had been sober for eight months, bringing her closer to Maddi, who has been sober for years. “It’s really nice to be in a good place with Emmy,” Maddi said.
Emmy added that once Maddi started dating Joe, their friendship improved. “Underneath all the bulls — me and Maddi went through last year, there was a real friendship,” she said.
Friends Maddi and Emma – who fell out last year when Joe failed to defend Will against cheating allegations – also rekindled their friendship before filming. The foursome played pickleball during Thursday’s episode and joked about how far they had all come.
Southern hospitality airs on Bravo Thursdays at 9pm ET.
