Baldoni is is currently suing The New York Times for $250 million, alleging defamation and invasion of privacy in a false light after a story broke about Lively accusing him of sexual harassment. Freedman added in an interview on Thursday with NBC news that he too plans to sue Lively37, on behalf of his client.
“We plan to release every single text message between the two of them,” Freedman said. “We want the truth out there. We want the documents to be there. We want people to make decisions based on receipts.”
On the same day, Baldoni filed a counterclaim and TimesLively sued Baldoni, as well as his publicists Melissa Nathan and Jennifer Abeland Baldoni’s production company Wayfarer. She is accused of sexual harassment, retaliation, breach of contract, infliction of emotional distress, invasion of privacy and lost wages.
“I hope my legal action will help pull back the curtain on these sinister retaliatory tactics that harm people who speak up about wrongdoing and help protect others who may be targeted,” she said in a statement on April 21. My Weekly.
