The actress, 42, walked the red carpet alone before the awards show on Sunday, January 5 at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles. During the broadcast she took the prize for Best Performance by an Actor in a Stand-Up Comedy on Television for her Netflix special Ali Wong: Single Lady – and she did not mention Hader (46) in her speech.
“Here’s my best friend Mia, thank you so much for all your love and support over the years,” she said during her speech. “This means a lot. Thank you very much.”
Jamie Foxx, Nikki Glaser, Seth Meyers, Adam Sandler and Ramy Youssef were also up for the award, which Wong took home for her special, which premiered in October 2024.

Wong is already a Golden Globe winnerwho won the trophy for Outstanding Performance by an Actress in a Limited Series, Anthology Series or Made for Television for her role as Amy Lau in the Netflix show Beef in 2024. She a Steven Yeun starred in the series as two persons involved in a road incident.
A four-time Golden Globe nominee himself, Hader supported Wong last year when she won her first Golden Globe. Although they walked the red carpet separately in January 2024, the couple kissed and multiple hugs when she learned of her win.

Wong was first linked to Hader in 2022 following her split from Hakuta, 43. Wong and Hader briefly split later that year, but My Weekly confirmed in April 2023 they were together again.

“Hey Ali, I just happened to hear the news about your divorce today and I have to tell you… I’m thrilled,” she recalled Hader telling her in a phone call after he got her number from a mutual friend. “I am, Ali, because look, I’ve had a crush on you forever, and I actually told my best friend years ago that you were my dream girl. And I know this sounds crazy, but, uh, I want you to be my girlfriend.”
Wong revealed that Hader then sent her flowers in several cities during her European tour, which her friends thought were “so sweet”. However, her male friends warned her that Hader might be a “psychopath”.
“That’s how cheap and lazy men became,” joked Wong. “That now, when a fellow man commits any act of kindness, any romantic gesture, it must be a symptom of undiagnosed mental illness.”
