Joan Vassos and her fiancé Chock Chappleprove that they are just like Our.
“Yeah, we’re a real couple… This is how we like our temperatures,” Chapple, 60, wrote via his Instagram Story on Saturday, January 4.
Alongside the text, Chapple uploaded an image of the temperatures inside the car. One side was set at 63 degrees, while the other side—which Chapple noted was Vassos’s—was a comfortable 84 degrees.
Vassos, 61, responded to Chapple’s snap by reposting it to her own Instagram Stories on Saturday, writing, “Maybe I should steal some socks from him to keep my feet warm in the car…” (Earlier in the day, Vassos uploaded a picture of (of many pairs of socks joking that Chapple had 364 games.)
As the pair navigate each other’s lifestyles, Vassos and Chapple exclusively said My Weekly that they spend time in their respective hometowns of Maryland and Kansas—and they are go apartment hunting in New York.
“This first year, of course, we have to figure out life somehow. Chock has a business in Kansas. I have children and grandchildren and Maryland. I’m not leaving Maryland, but he has responsibilities in Kansas,” Joan said Our in November 2024. “We know we’re going to spend time in Maryland and Kansas, but then we have this really fun plan because we’ve both always dreamed — and we’re finally in this weird stage of life to make it a dream come true — to live in a big city and specifically, we always wanted to live in New York. So Chock surprised me and said, ‘I want us to go find a place.'”
Vassos, which engaged to Chapple during the finals Golden freedom season 1, he said Our that she “never in a million years” thought she would feel “love like that” again. (She was previously married John Vassoswho died in 2019 of cancer.)
“Living life in the golden years is special. You are no longer responsible for raising a family or running a business. You can really enjoy life. Traveling is important to us. One day we will buy a house together,” she shared the message Our cover story. “After John died, I felt like my future was this black hole. And now it seems so clear. The possibilities are endless for us. Which is a strange thing at this age, but I feel that way.”
