PawportPhoenix-based pet tech startup, again at CES 2025 features an additional exterior door for added security to introduce the improved Smart Pet Door.
If you’re tired of bugs or, worse, raccoons and other critters sneaking into your home through traditional pet doors, Pawport may have a solution. First announced at last year’s CES, the smart pet door system is made of thick, powder-coated steel and aluminum and features two sturdy sliders to withstand inclement weather and prevent unwanted animals from entering.
Thanks to the tracking tag and motion sensor technology, the door opens automatically as your pet approaches. Additionally, there is a companion app that allows you to control the door remotely, schedule when the door can be opened or closed, and even give voice commands via Alexa, Siri, or Google.
The new model has both an inner and outer door connected by a small tunnel for enhanced security. Compared to other pet gates on the market, Pawport is designed to be one of the safest options, especially in areas like California. coyote attacks have increased. this past summer a man and his chihuahua The coyote that entered their home through the dog door was reportedly injured.
For added security, the smart pet door has sensitivity sensors that prevent the doors from closing on your pet when entering or leaving the home. There’s also an option to disable the top panel controls, which prevents kids from pressing buttons to open and navigate Pawport. In the event of a power outage, Pawport’s rechargeable battery pack ensures the door remains operational, so pets won’t get stuck inside or out.
The Pawport starts at $500 and will be available in early 2025.
