Hi parents, Robert De Niro is like Us.
In a new interview with The Sunday TimesDe Niro, 81, admitted he wakes up every morning with his daughter Gia and soothing sounds Rachel Accursobetter known as Mrs. Rachel — YouTuber turned millionaire whose videos focus on childhood development and language skills.
“I get up early in the morning,” he said to the drawer. “I have a 19-month-old baby. I spend the morning watching Mrs. Rachel with her and giving her her bottle.”
As for whether or not the Hollywood icon changes Gia’s diapers, the proud father-of-seven insisted: “No, I don’t, but I used to.”
Gia is De Niro’s seventh child and first with a partner Tiffany Chenwhom he met on set in 2015 Intern. The two-time Oscar winner also shares grown children Drena, 57, and Raphael, 49, with his ex-wife. Diahne Abbott; twins Julian and Aaron, 29, with ex Toukie Smith; and son Elliot (26) and daughter Helen (13) with his second wife, Grace Hightower. De Niro and Hightower, 69, split in 2018.
De Niro is also a grandfather as Raphael has three young children. Drena’s only child, Leandro, he died last July at the age of 19.

When it comes to fatherhood, De Niro said he doesn’t know how his children would describe him. “Oh god, everyone would have a different answer. Family is so complicated,” he admitted. “I’m just trying my best, that’s all.” I hope they will be happy.”

However, Disneyland is off his list. “I’m fighting it – the rides,” he insisted.
De Niro recently called Gia “pure joy” after she celebrated her first birthday in March Fun tonight“She had a small cake, it was very nice, sweet.”
“Well, she’s pure joy,” he continued, “there’s nothing about her, there’s no judgement, there’s nothing, she’s just the way she is, and she’s just pure joy for God’s sake.”
He added in an interview with People last year: “He’s such an adorable baby. So sweet. (When) I look at her, everything else disappears. So it’s a great joy and a relief to be with her at that moment.”
De Niro is currently working on his next venture: opening Nobu Beach Inn on the tiny Caribbean island of Barbuda. He now co-owns 57 restaurants and 42 hotels worldwide – an empire built over 35 years since he opened his first restaurant, Tribeca Grill, in New York in 1990.
