TherabodyThe maker of popular massage guns and other wellness devices announced at CES 2025 that it is launching an AI-powered digital recovery app called Coach by Therabody.
While Therabody’s advanced app is designed to give you easy-to-follow specific routines, Coach takes recovery and wellness a step further by using data to understand users’ current needs. With this new app, Therabody goes deeper into the health apps market.
Developed in partnership with Garmin, the app combines user data with generative AI to provide personalized recovery plans that are adjusted in real-time based on users’ goals, activity levels and health metrics. The app supports Apple Health, Google Fit, Strava, and more. works by collecting data from Garmin smart watches.
The app analyzes user data, aggregates user feedback, and connects with Therabody products to provide personalized reminders and recommendations that support athletic performance and overall well-being. For example, if the app sees that you’ve completed a 5K run, it will suggest that you start rehabilitating your leg to reduce pain.
“It’s important to note that Therabody does not engage in artificial intelligence,” John Solomon, Therabody CMO, said in a press release. “As with all of our products, we looked at how AI could solve a problem for our consumers. And feeding it with Garmin’s wealth of data over time will allow us to truly understand how recovery affects performance at a scale never before achieved.”
To get started, Coach will connect with Therabody’s Theragun. The company plans to support more products in the future.
The app is available for download on iOS and Android.
