Hoda Kotb is ready for life after Today.

The NBC stalwart, 60, is set to leave your favorite morning program on Friday, January 10, after 17 years of cohosting, and has already completed his next venture.

During Monday, January 6, a performance at The Kelly Clarkson ShowKotb shared that she is starting her own wellness company featuring an app, podcast and retreats. It is expected to launch in the spring, she told the host Kelly Clarkson.

Clarkson complimented the details of the new project from Kotb with her signature humor. “However, I must say, madam, as soon as I’m told you don’t. Today show, I was like, ‘So what’s the bitch doing?'” joked Clarkson. “I was like, ‘There’s no way you’re not doing anything.’ You are me – you like projects, you like work.’

Kotb agreed, “I like things, I do,” explaining how she “got involved” in wellness “a few years ago.” She added: “I started doing things that I thought were woo-woo and weird and then all of a sudden when I was doing it I was like, ‘Wait, I feel calmer, I feel better’.”

Kotb said her new company will allow patrons to “get together and do the things I love.”

“And when you’re done, it’s not like going to Mexico with the girls, which is fun. But this is something that when you walk away, you’re like, ‘Oh my God. I feel transformed. I feel different.” So I’m in the building process,” she continued.

Kotb announced his departure from Today in September 2024 after 17 years of co-hosting and nearly three decades at NBC.

“I realized it was time to turn the page at 60 and try something new. This is the right time for me to move on,” she said on the show, citing her daughters Haley, 7, and Hope, 5, as motivation for the decision.

“I know I’m making the right decision, but it’s painful,” she added in a letter to her NBC co-workers. “And you all are the reason. They say two things can be right at the same time and I feel that so deeply right now. I love you and it’s time for me to leave the show.”

“My time at NBC was the longest professional love affair of my life,” she continued. “But only because you’ve been by my side on this twenty-six year adventure. Looking back, the math is crazy. 26 years at NBC News — Ten years at Dateline, seven at seven, sixteen at ten.”
