performer manager, Simon Jones, confirmed that Vivienne (real name James Lee Williams) died at the age of 32 via a statement on social media on Sunday, January 5.

“It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved James Lee Williams – The Vivienne this weekend,” Jones wrote. “James was an incredibly loving, warm-hearted and wonderful person.

The statement continued: “Their family is heartbroken at the loss of a son, brother and uncle. They are so proud of the amazing things James has accomplished in their lives and careers. We will not publish any further details. We ask that James’ family be given the time and privacy they now need to process and grieve.’

Authorities have since confirmed there are “no suspicious circumstances” involved in the death of a drag queen.

“Police attended, investigated the circumstances of the 32-year-old man’s death and concluded that there were no suspicious circumstances,” the spokesman said. Hi! on Monday, January 6 “A file will be prepared for the coroner.”

The RuPaul’s Drag Racejudge responded to “heartbreaking” death via Instagram.

“I don’t know how to say how I feel. My dear @thevivienne_ we go back to when I started coming here to the UK. You were always there, always laughing, always giving, always on point,” Visage wrote. “Your laugh, your wit, your talent, your drive. I loved it all, but most of all I loved your friendship. You were a beacon to so many people.”

Visage recalled seeing The Vivienne make her West End debut and commented that she was “lucky” to meet the late star.

“I love you my darling. I will miss you so much love,” the message concluded. “May your light shine fiercely, forever.” RIP MY ANGEL fly high.”

The drag queen commented that she was “heartbroken” by the news of the death.

“Viv was such a great friend! He always made time for you! I had the best times in all the projects we shared and she was just a good person!” she wrote in a statement shared via Instagram. “I (sic) can’t believe it! My heart goes out to her family and her other friends! Rest well my friend!”

Monsoon shared photos of The Vivienne on various social media platforms along with a sweet tribute.

“I’m at a loss for words,” she wrote. “She made her mark in our hearts and on her stages. It’s too early for a curtain call, but I know it’s a standing ovation. I love you Viv.”

The performer commented that it was an “incredibly difficult” loss when remembering The Vivienne.
