Teddy Mellencamp detailed her recent struggles with anxiety to help others struggling with the ups and downs of mental health.
“Woke up at 3am this morning with raging anxiety,” Mellencamp, 43, wrote via her Instagram story on Monday, January 6.
Former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star noted that she wasn’t sharing the update out of “pity,” but rather to connect with “anyone else who woke up” with the same symptoms.
Mellencamp continued outline the symptoms of anxiety disorders including “trouble concentrating or making decisions” and “feeling irritable, tense or restless”.
“You feel nauseous or have stomach problems. Have palpitations. Sweating, shaking, or trembling,” she listed other experiences that someone might encounter while struggling with anxiety. “Difficulty sleeping. With a sense of impending danger, panic, or doom.”
A reality star who is currently going through a divorce from her estranged husband Edwin Arroyave – she went on to tell her followers what to do to cope with an anxiety episode.
“We are fine and we will get over this hump,” she wrote. Mellencamp then outlined her seven steps for overcoming symptoms, including mediation and creating gratitude lists.
“I’m thankful for my health, my kids, getting back to work together, people who make me laugh and understand that anxiety is not a choice,” she said.
C. 3 on her list is exercising “to some extent” followed by a cold jump. “Being able to hug someone I love. (Getting) fresh air. Setting boundaries,” rounded out their self-help tips.
Mellencamp gave her too Everything in My Teddi team, which is her accountability coaching company, praises that “I’m responsible for what I did above” before showing her followers some of her moves in action.
Mellencamp started her Monday with a run on the treadmill and gave her therapist a shout out via her Instagram story. She then documented how she performed the cold jump. “We are taking action,” she wrote alongside the clip.

Mellencamp’s vulnerable post about her anxiety comes two months after she announced in November 2024 that she and Arroyave, 47, were get divorced after 13 years of marriage.
She initially requested sole physical and legal custody the couple’s three children — Slate, 12, Cruz, 10, and Dove, 4 — but changed her petition later that month. Mellencamp is now asking the court for joint physical and legal custody.
Arroyave, who is also the father of daughter Isabella from a previous relationship, requested joint legal and physical custody of his and Mellencamp’s children when he filed his own in November 2024.

Mellencamp raised eyebrows shortly after filing for divorce when it emerged she was having an affair with her horse trainer, Simon Schroederbefore breaking up.

Last month, Mellencamp gave a little more insight into her current living situation, revealing on an episode of the “Diamonds in the Rough” podcast that she is live part time with Kyle Richards.
“Some places where you can just file for divorce … in California there’s a six-month cooling-off period,” she told listeners during the December 2024 episode. “You can do a lot of things in those six months. The way I learned about nesting was through one of my good friends, she’s a divorce coach. She told me about nesting. It is where the children stay (in the matrimonial home) and the parents come and go.”
Mellencamp said she and Arroyave agreed on that so they could “be there for sporting events” and other milestones. “We are absolutely happy to be together” she claimed.
When Mellencamp started “nesting” at Arroyave, Our confirmed that her horse trainer’s wife, Karla Schroeder, filed for divorce on December 30, 2024. She listed the date of their separation as September 22, 2024.
Simon and Karli share a daughter Lena (3) and a son Henry (7 months). Karli is seeking primary physical custody of both children and joint legal custody, according to court documents obtained Our. She is also asking for spousal support and for Simon to pay her attorney fees.
