The Cooperative Institute for Atmospheric Research (CIRA) recently shared shocking fast-motion images taken from space in the Wildfires in Californiawhich began on Tuesday afternoon and have already caused 100,000 people to flee their homes.
The eight Los Angeles-area wildfires – Palisades Fire, Eaton Fire, Hurst Fire, Olivas Fire, Lidia Fire, Scout Fire, Sunset Fire and Woodley Fire – threaten at least 28,000 structures. reported Fox News Digital.

“The Palisades and Eaton fires continue their rapid growth near Los Angeles as both have burned over 10,000 acres,” CIRA wrote in a post on X on Wednesday night.
Satellites from NOAA’s GOES West satellite (GOES-18) showed smoke and heat signatures from wildfires on Tuesday and Wednesday.
“The devastating #PalisadesFuego and #EatonFuego “Burning continues in parts of Southern California today,” NOAA captioned the video, which was posted to Instagram Wednesday afternoon.
The Eaton and Hurst fires broke out hours later and have burned more than 11,000 acres combined as of 9 p.m. Wednesday, according to the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection.

The other fires, which started Wednesday in Los Angeles, Riverside and Ventura counties, have burned more than 400 acres and are expected to move forward, according to officials. All except the Lidia fire are contained at 0%.
