When actor Ray Stevenson died in 2023before it was completely inside its new Star Wars character was studied. Now with the second season Ahsoka ready to roll, creator Dave Filoni and Lucasfilm may have found the man to step into Baylan Skoll’s badass shoes.

InSneider first reported the news, and io9 has reached out to Lucasfilm for confirmation. He has yet to respond as of publication and we will update this post if or when we do.
When the audience last saw Skoll, Stranded on the planet Peridea (along with Ahsoka, Sabine, and her former apprentice Shin Hati) on a quest to investigate some deep secrets in the Force. It was clear that Filoni had more in store for the evil ex-Jedi. But when Stevenson passed, viewers debated whether the show would continue that story. Stevenson’s family has reportedly approved the casting.
As for McCann, although he’s known for being Arya’s friend, sort of a hero, Game of Thronesyou may also know him as the general Gladiator II and for playing Lurch Hot Fuzz (“Yarp” boy). He is an imposing physical presence with a very strong personality. It’s a great choice.
No official word on when Ahsoka will return, but Filoni has worked hard to write it. By the way, this could be the next Star Wars show on Disney+ Andor.
