Errol Spence Vs Sebastian Fundora: March 29 fight in Las Vegas

WBC and WBO junior middleweight champion Sebastian Fundora will fight Errol Spence, tentatively scheduled for March 29 in Las Vegas. The fight is still in negotiation.

Former unified welterweight champion Spence (28-1, 22 KOs) will have been inactive for 20 months when his fight with ‘The Towering Inferno’ Fundora (21-1-1, 13 KOs) occurs. Errol turns 35 on March 3. The fight is expected to air on PBC on Prime Video PPV. No word yet on PPV pricing, but it’s likely to be around the $80 range.

@FerSabatiniBox and @DanRafael1 broke the news about the fight between Fundora and Spence on March 29.

Spence is coming off a 9th round knockout loss to Terence ‘Bud’ Crawford on July 29, 2023. Errol took a lot of punishment in that fight and was never competitive at all. Physically, he didn’t look like the fighter he had been in 2018 and earlier in his career. Some believe that the combination of injuries Spence suffered in his 2019 car accident, sparring, inactivity, weight gain and age had made him very weak.

The 6’5″ Fundora is coming off a long layoff, having last fought on April 30, 2024, defeating WBO 154-pound champion Tim Tszyu via 12-round split decision. That was a grueling fight for both, leaving Tszyu a bloody mess due to a clash of heads early in the fight.
