Hippocrates AI, a startup that builds AI solutions that can perform non-diagnostic patient-facing tasks, has secured a $141 million Series B round led by Kleiner Perkins at $1.64 billion. announced on Thursday. The funding comes nine months after Hippocrates AI raised a $53 million round from General Catalyst and Andreessen Horowitz, and five months after attracting $17 million from Nvidia. The startup is less than two years old.
While most of the health AI companies are in the spotlight reducing administrative burdensHippocratic AI addresses the shortage of healthcare workers by creating agents that can perform simple tasks such as pre-operative procedures, remote patient monitoring and appointment preparation.
In 2024, the startup signed contracts with 23 health systems and insurers. Hippocrates is using the new capital to expand the product to more markets and internationally.
