With the ruling of donald trump The final verdict on the criminal trial of the president-elect in New York will be known on Friday. The verdict is not the one that led to neither jail nor probation for the incoming president. Acting Judge Juan Merchán has hit New York’s legal system as a whole with his gavel.

Once considered the country’s primary legal system, figures such as Letitia James, Attorney General of New YorkManhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, Judges Arthur F. Engoron and Juan Merchan have caused the system to be weaponized for political purposes. Trump will emerge from this trial and into the White House in less than two weeks, but the New York system will fall into infamy after this day.

The case has long been denounced by objective legal observers, including intense Trump critics, as a legal absurdity. Even CNN senior legal analyst Elie Honig denounced the case as legally flawed and unprecedented, while Sen. John Fetterman, D-Pa., simply called it total “bullshit.”

DONALD TRUMP SENTENCED WITHOUT PENALTY IN CRIMINAL TRIAL IN NEW YORK AS JUDGE WISHES HIM ‘GOOD SPEED’ IN SECOND TERM

It is a case based on a non-crime. Bragg took a long-defunct misdemeanor and brought it back to life with a novel, unfounded theory. Using federal violations that were never charged, much less tried, Bragg turned one misdemeanor into dozens of felonies and essentially tried Trump for federal crimes.

Merchan not only allowed those charges to go to trial, but then added layers of reversible errors in the effort to catch Trump at any cost. For this reason, he was adored by the liberal media and many New Yorkers. However, Trump still managed to get 3.6 million votes in New York, or 42.7%, in the election. 2024 elections. After all the legal warfare and all the advantages (including a very biased media and a larger war chest), Vice President Kamala Harris lost hundreds of thousands of votes in 2024 compared to Joe Biden just four years earlier.

Many polls showed that the public saw the Manhattan criminal case for what it was: crude law targeting a major political opponent. The election itself felt like the largest verdict in history, as citizens rejected the political, legal and media establishment in one of our nation’s most historic elections.

New York’s justice system will now have a chance to redeem itself, but few are holding their breath. The appeals court has yet to rule on an appeal of Attorney General Lettia James’ equally absurd civil suit against Trump. Even though the justices expressed skepticism about Endoron’s use of a statute to impose a grotesque $455 million in penalties and interest, we’re still waiting for a decision.

Most are waiting for this criminal case to escape the vortex of the New York judicial system. With this appeal, this cart of reversible errors will finally stop before the Supreme Court itself.

With his ruling Thursday night, the setting for a decision couldn’t be better for Trump. He Supreme Court has once again demonstrated that it has shown restraint and independence in these cases. Responding to the ruling, Trump struck the perfect note Thursday night and refused to criticize the Court, saying, “This is far from over and I respect the court’s opinion.”

The maximum penalty on Friday morning from Judge Merchan It reflects the lack of seriousness of the case. It was more inflated than the Goodyear blimp, inflated by rage and rhetoric. The sentence was the puncture that showed the enormous void within this case.
