The Vanderpump Rules alum Lala Kent she evacuated Los Angeles with her daughters amid the recent wildfires.
“This morning Sosa woke up and was really struggling to breathe. I decided to pack up the family and come to Palm Springs, strictly based on the air quality,” Kent, 34, wrote via her Instagram stories on Thursday, January 9. “We’ll stay here until LA is safe again. .”
Kent resides primarily in Los Angeles with daughters Ocean, 3, and Sosa, 4 months.
Fires in Pacific Palisades neighborhood it erupted on Tuesday, January 7 and quickly devastated many buildings. Many celebrities lost their homes in the natural disaster, while others sought refuge outside the city limits under evacuation orders.

“This is one of the most devastating situations I’ve ever seen,” Kent added Thursday. “At this point, unless you have been directly affected, you know someone who has lost everything. I’m obsessed with how we are he could be so underprepared. My heart is broken for my community. A neighborhood that people called home for decades, now non-existent. It is unimaginable.”
According to Kent, she “wasn’t directly affected” and tries to “feel grateful for that”.
“It’s hard because of what I see other people go through,” the Bravo star wrote. “In times like this, all you want is to go home for comfort and 1,000 people no longer have their safe place. There are looters, lack of water and insufficient preparation. I’m sad, but I’m angry.”
While Kent vowed to “save that rant for later,” she expressed her gratitude to first responders.
“For now, I just want to thank our firefighters and paramedics. Heroes of our city,” Kent concluded Thursday. “And to all concerned – I know you feel alone. You are not alone.”
Kent shares Ocean with an ex-fiancé Randall Emmett and she gave birth to Sosa in September 2024. After using a sperm donor to conceive her second child, Kent underwent intrauterine insemination (IUI).

“The outside world is funny.” Not everyone is as progressive as we are, and I was just like, ‘OK, I’m bringing this baby into the world because I want it to be here so bad. But I also want to remove as many questions as I can,” Kent said in the March 2024 episode her podcast “Give Them Lala”.. “(I wanted her to) have the same aesthetic as me, my mom, Ocean. The world is so hard when you come from a completely normal family. I don’t want to make it harder for them.”
