Meghan Markle and prince harry opened their home in Montecito, California to friends who were evacuated during the evacuation Fires in Los Angeles.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex also donated clothes, baby items and other important items disabled by the fires My Weekly he learned
Markle, 43, and Harry, 40, live in Montecito with their children Prince Archie, 5, and Princess Lilibet, 3. Their home is about 80 miles north of Pacific Palisades area in LA, where the fires first broke out on Tuesday, January 7.
It is not known which of Markle’s and Harry’s friends were affected by the fires and who are sheltering with the couple. Celebrities included Mandy Moore, Jennifer Love Hewitt and Sandra Lee were evacuated from their homes.

“He was like, ‘You’re not going to stay a week. You stay as long as you need and I’ll get you there safely until you have nowhere to go,’” Markle recalled Perry saying during Harry and Meghan A Netflix documentary series that aired in 2022.
The couple also shared the documents they had named Perry godfather their daughter Lilibet.
Harry and Markle aren’t the only members of the royal family to have spoken publicly about the fires. Sarah FergusonDuchess of York, shared a video message on Instagram on Thursday, where she said she was “devastated” to learn of the fires.
“All the people who were evacuated from their homes lost their homes.” Animals Humane Society I am so devastated. I just had to say something,” Ferguson said.
“You know I’m there 100%. I really want to know how we can help. The whole world is just as affected by this extraordinary devastation. My heart goes out to the emergency services, to all the people who are working tirelessly and have been working all these days to try and put out the fire,” she added.
