Ryan Garcia says he doesn’t understand why Bill Haney is pushing VADA to be the drug testing agency for a rematch with Devin Haney. García (24-1, 20 KOs) questions if people are receiving “some kind of money cut to use VADA.“
García rejects VADA
Ryan says he will “never” use VADA again. That means if there will be a rematch between him and Devin (31-0, 15 KOs), a different drug testing organization will need to be used.
If Bill insists on VADA alone, his son could miss out on a lucrative rematch with Ryan. Devin claims that this is the “biggest fight” in boxing today. However, the rematch might not happen unless another drug testing agency is used.
Bill shouldn’t care which agency is used. As long as there’s evidence, that’s what’s important, especially if you’re worried about Devin getting hit again. He looked awfully bad the last time he fought Ryan in 2024.
That would be bad for Haney because he is a vulnerable fighter with a chin problem, and sooner or later he will be defeated by a less popular fighter than Kingry once he faces someone decent.
“It’s getting really strange why it’s always VADA. Can we get other organizations to do testing? Because you have Bill (Haney) pushing just VADA. He never says other organizations, and it’s strange that he’s pushing for a certain organization. Don’t you just want some kind of proof? This all sounds like the people pushing to use VADA are getting some kind of cut of money for people to use VADA. It seems unethical. “This is just my opinion,” said Ryan García in unknown regarding your question why Bill Haney is pushing so hard for VADA to be used for a rematch between him and Devin Haney.
“I’m clean, but I will never use that organization again,” Ryan said about how he will never use VADA again.
