Here’s where first responders can get free food in California


As the Los Angeles area continues to deal with wildfires, here are some restaurants, both local and national chains, offering free meals to firefighters and other first responders.

Be sure to check with each individual restaurant since these offers may vary from one place to another.

All promotions were valid at the time of writing this article.

Pizza Blaze

Nine Blaze Pizza locations in Southern California offer first responders a free 11″ pizza (plain or with a topping) through Sunday, Jan. 12, the chain said in an Instagram post on Jan. 10.

Fat Sal’s Deli

The California-based sandwich shop is offering a free meal to first responders at several of its locations, the restaurant said in an Instagram post on Jan. 9.

“To our incredibly brave first responders: When you have a moment, enjoy a free meal at our Hollywood, Westwood, Encino, Venice and Culver City locations,” the post read.

In-N-Out Burger

Select locations in Southern California are offering free meals to firefighters. Additionally, the company has parked its “outdoor food trucks” next to restaurants near the fires.

“It has been an honor to offer complimentary meals to firefighters with our outdoor food trucks and at our locations near areas hit hard by the fires,” In-N-Out said on its Instagram page.

KFC offers free kfc bowls to first responders, including law enforcement officers, members of the emergency medical services, members of the fire service and “members of the military involved in relief efforts (wearing their first responder identification),” according to a company statement on Friday, January 10. .

The free bowls will be available through Monday, January 20 at participating restaurants in the region. A list of participating restaurants is available on the KFC website.

The Southern California-based restaurant chain is offering firefighters and police officers a free entrée through Jan. 12 at 11 p.m., according to its website.

This offer is not valid at your Las Vegas location.

First responders can get a free Shackburger at any Shake Shack location in Los Angeles County through Sunday, Jan. 12, the company posted on X on Jan. 8.

The burgers are “a little thank you for all you do,” the post said.

Sizzling Locations in Van Nuys, Los Feliz, Palmdale and Culver City, California, offer free meals to firefighters and evacuees.

“Please come enjoy a complimentary hot meal,” Sizzler posted Thursday afternoon on Facebook and X. “Just tell our cashier you are here for the fire relief meal,” the post read.

Meal options include a six-ounce steak, six crispy jumbo shrimp, or a Malibu chicken plate, along with a side and fountain drink.
