Former Playboy model and reality star Kendra Wilkinson he is no stranger to the public.
The 39-year-old first turned around in 2004, when she arrived late Playboy publisher Hugh Hefner78th birthday celebration. Shortly after the event, she was asked to move to the iconic Playboy mansion and began dating Hefner.

Reality series The girls next door. The reality series premiered in August 2005 and ran for five seasons. All three of their romantic relationships ended in 2008.
Since then, Wilkinson has appeared in several television shows including Escort, How I Met Your Mother and Scary movie 4. She is also the author of two books and has starred in her own reality TV show, Kendra on topwhich documented her relationship with the former NFL wide receiver Hank Baskett. (The couple married in 2009 and welcomed two children before divorcing in 2018.)
In 2025, Wilkinson made headlines after a wild defend your weightwho tells naysayers that she is “not the girl I used to be”.
“Yes, I gained weight.” Yes, I’m getting old,” Wilkinson wrote via Instagram on Jan. 12. “Yes, I’m not the girl I was before (playboy girl), but for once in a long time I feel good and sane.”

Wilkinson, who was born and raised in San Diego, California, attended Hefner’s 78th birthday party as a full-body paint model after the late Playboy founder came across a picture of Wilkinson.
“I wasn’t wearing anything. I had some rhinestones on — it was the craziest thing,” Wilkinson said during a previous interview with E!. “We had to stick these things one by one on my body. That was when I first met Hef. I think I caught him—I’m sure the stones, I mean, you couldn’t have missed me. That’s the night that changed the rest of my life.”
Wilkinson went on to explain that Hefner asked her to be his girlfriend before the pair actually met in person.
“He asked me to be (his) girlfriend before he met me,” she added. “The image was sent to Playboy The mansion to hire me as a body painted girl to work the party. For some reason it gave me this feeling of comfort. I just watched him and thought, ‘He’s a good guy.'”
Wilkinson and her polyamorous relationship with Hefner — which also involved Madison and Marquardt — was documented in a hit reality TV show. The girls next door. E! The series debuted in August 2005 and ran for five seasons, primarily following Madison, Marquardt and Wilkinson as they navigate the wild ups and downs of life in Playboy Lock.
“It ends up being a very awkward situation because it’s not like we’re the Spice Girls,” Wilkinson said on Fox 5’s Good Day New York in 2015 about her relationship with her roommates. “We were dating an 80-year-old man at the same time. It is very unpleasant.”
That same year, Wilkinson appeared in an episode Escortcalled “Aquamansion”. In the scene, Wilkinson played a teammate.
By 2008, all three ex Playboy The models ended their relationships with Hefner. During the last season of the reality show The girls next doornew girlfriend Crystal Hefner (née Harris) and twins Kristina and Karissa Shannon joined the show.
Wilkinson will make a brief cameo for the episode How I Met Your Motherentitled “Benefits”. In the scene, Wilkinson appears on the cover of a magazine held by Marshall (Jason Segel), who has difficulty using the bathroom at work.
That same year, Wilkinson married former NFL player Hank Baskett. The couple tied the knot Playboy Mansion, with Hefner in attendance, and later welcomed their son, Hank Baskett IV.
“We have already decided to name our son Hank Baskett IV,” Wilkinson wrote on her now-defunct blog months before welcoming her son into the world. “Hank’s dad and his grandfather were both named Hank, so it was very important to us to carry on the family tradition.
Wilkinson debuted her memoir, Slipping into the homewhich revealed both the highs and lows of her journey from Playboy mansion to be a stay at home mom.
Wilkinson appeared as a guest contestant in season 12 Dancing with the stars alongside a professional dance partner Louis Van Amstel. The model was finally eliminated in the seventh week of the competition on May 3.
In the same year, Wilkinson published her second book, Being Kendra: Cribs, cocktails and a sexy back. The so-called “tell-all” memoir chronicled her journey as a mother trying to maintain a long-distance relationship while meeting the demands of her television career.
Wilkinson’s reality TV show, Kendra on topdebuted on We TV, which followed the lives of her family of three at the time. The show ran from 2012 to 2017.
In May, they had a baby girl, Alijay Mary.
“For so long I dreamed of little Hank holding his little sister,” Wilkinson said People shortly after birth. “Little Hank had a huge smile and now he knows he really is a big brother.”
Wilkinson and her ex-husband later hit the headlines after rumors surfaced that he had been unfaithful when Wilkinson was eight months pregnant with their daughter.
“I messed it up,” Baskett said a year later in an interview with People. “I got into a bad situation. And everything through me caused this family pain. I wasn’t involved in anything… It was like a bank robbery. You never know when you will freeze. I don’t know if it was a few seconds or 15 seconds because all I was saying was, ‘Get out, get out, get out.'”
Wilkinson officially filed for divorce from the former NFL player, citing irreconcilable differences, and listed the separation date as January 1, 2018. The couple has filed for joint legal physical custody of their two children.
Wilkinson and Baskett’s divorce was finalized.
“I went through a divorce, I lost everything I knew, which was my TV show. I had a TV show every year until the divorce,” Wilkinson said during an Aug. 22 appearance on the “On Display with Melissa Gorga” podcast. “Then my divorce happened and suddenly, now I was left without a marriage, I was left without a show, I had to move into a small house – I did not understand what was happening and all at once I had to do intensive treatment.”
Wilkinson has returned to reality TV with a new show, Kendra sells Hollywood.
“The start of my show and the start of filming was (also) the start of my new… journey,” the star exclusively told My Weekly Nov. 9 while promoting his show. “Everything started at once, including the decision to start dating. It just kind of happened.”
She continued: “I needed to heal a bit. When those cameras turned on—and I was ready to start my new career—all my confidence suddenly returned. I don’t know what happened. It wasn’t ego. It was confidence.”
The show aired for two seasons.
Wilkinson made headlines in September when she suffered a panic attack that sent her to hospital, Our confirmed at the time. In November of that year, Wilkinson shared via Instagram that she had “completed treatment for my depression and anxiety.”
Wilkinson had more than a few words to say to naysayers online who disparaged the former Playboy weight of the model.
“For those of you who hate my new weight, 40 year old face, know that I am finally happy, healthy and at peace in my life,” she wrote on Instagram in January. “Leave me alone and respect that I’m where I want to be finally all together.”
