‘True Romance’ actor slams Newsom for ‘Trump-proof’ state amid Los Angeles fires


Actor Michael Rapaport became angry California Governor Gavin Newsom in a video on tuesdaytelling the Democrat “no more mistakes for you, you’re done!”

The “Only Murders in the Building” actor said he was talking about “Gavin with the good hair Newsom” “Trump-proof” California when it should have been focused on “protecting the state against fires.”

“You’re talking about Trump this, Trump that. He’s not even president,” the 54-year-old said in a video he posted on Instagram as the Fires in Southern Californiathat have burned thousands of houses, entered their second week.

“Get out of here!” he said of Newsom. “‘We’ll do better next time. We need to learn from our mistakes,'” he scoffed.

Rapaport is not the first celebrity to criticize Newsom amid the devastating Los Angeles fires.

On Friday, the model shared a since-deleted post on Instagram in which he posted a photo of Newsom, who was standing with his hands in his pockets and sharing a laugh with a group of people at the Palisades Fire base camp in Malibu.

“Why is the Governor of California standing around laughing like he’s at a tailgate???” Durham wrote in the caption of his post.

In a statement to Fox News Digital, Newsom’s communications director Izzy Gardon said: “Anyone who has been through a tragedy knows that there are moments of joy and moments of sadness, as the governor himself has witnessed in Los Angeles during the last three.” days, meeting with countless firefighters, first responders and victims of this tragedy.

Since the fires broke out last Tuesday, Newsom and Los Angeles officials have faced backlash from celebrities for their lack of preparation and response to the crisis.

“The governor is focused on protecting people, not playing politics, and making sure firefighters have all the resources they need,” Izzy Gardon, the governor’s communications director, told FOX News Digital.
