sorry Neil Lane — not everyone Bachelor decided to get down on one knee during their respective ABC dating series finales.
Former host Chris Harrison dealt with the pressure the leader should suggest during the interview The Hollywood Reporter in May 2018.
“People need to know that nothing is guaranteed. There is no contract and no pressure from the cast or crew,” Harrison told the paper. “I like that the show doesn’t promise anything. We ask for nothing and promise nothing. It’s all up to you. It’s free will. It’s a scary way to make a show. All shows have a beginning, middle, and end. Our show doesn’t promise that. You don’t have to. You can leave.”
Harrison added that he personally doesn’t care if the season ends with the draft. Even when the series ends an engagement, the commitment doesn’t always last — and several former stars they spoke about where their stones ended up.
“(We were together) for 18 months and the reason I know it so well is because I remember them wanting to take my engagement ring, for example. And I was like, ‘No, this is part of my history, like, this is mine, you can’t have it!'” Ali Fedotowsky revoked on My Weekly‘with “Here for the Right Reasons” Podcast. in 2020 by ex Roberto Martinez. “According to the contract, it was supposed to be for two years, but they let me stick to it. … I was like, “You’re not taking this from me, like, I’m going to keep it.” I put my foot down. And then they succeeded. They understood when I kind of broke it.”
