Wendy Williams she’s not one to dwell on Sean “Diddy” Combs.
Former The Wendy Williams Show host offered her prediction about Diddy’s fate on Thursday, Jan. 16, in an interview with Charlamagne tha God on “The Breakfast Club.”
“Diddy is going to prison for life, people,” she said. “You don’t know the things I knew about Diddy at the time.
Although Williams, 60, did not elaborate, she has a long history with Diddy, 55. Their feud dates back to 1998, when Williams was fired from her radio show Hot 97. She blamed the music mogul she was talking about. several times in his show.
“You know what? It’s about time, folks. It’s about time. Diddy done,” she added on Thursday.
Diddy was arrested in September 2024 on charges of sex trafficking and extortion and faces multiple charges of sexual assault. He pleaded not guilty and denied all allegations against him.
“We are disappointed by the decision to proceed with what we believe to be an unfair prosecution of Mr. Combs by the United States Attorney’s Office,” his attorney Marc Agnifilo he said My Weekly in a statement at the time of his indictment. “Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs is a music icon, entrepreneur, loving family man and proven philanthropist who has spent the past 30 years building an empire, doting on his children and working to uplift the black community.”
“He’s an imperfect man, but he’s not a criminal,” he continued. “To his credit, Mr. Combs has only cooperated with this investigation and voluntarily moved to New York last week in anticipation of these charges.” Please reserve judgment until you have all the facts. These are the actions of an innocent man who has nothing to hide and looks forward to clearing his name in court.”
Shortly after his arrest, Williams responded to Diddy’s allegations and a video that surfaced last year of him physically assaulting his then-girlfriend. Cassie.
“What’s really weird is that so many people have told me that,”Wendy, you called it“, she said Daily Mail in October 2024. “Including some people in my family who said the same thing. Do you know how that makes me feel? It’s about time. Seeing this video on TV of (Cassie) being beaten… it was just horrible. But now you have to think how many more times? how many people How many more women? It’s just so awful.”
Diddy is currently being held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn as he awaits trial later this year.
