NCIS: Los Angeles star Eric Christian Olsen and his family are “together and safe” afterwards. The wildfires in Los Angeles destroyed their home.
his wife Sarah Wright Olsenshared a carousel of photos via Instagram on Friday, Jan. 10, reporting damage in the couple’s neighborhood.
“The last few days are beyond words. We are together, safe and surrounded by love,” she wrote in the caption. “Thanks to Uncle Dave and Aunt Dani for taking us in. We lost our home. It was one of the first areas to go to.’
Eric, 47, and Sarah, 41, have three children, Wyatt Oliver, 11, Esmé Olivia, 8, and Winter Story, 4.
“Our kids said we all took our first steps there,” the post continued. “It is so hard to say goodbye to our wonderful town, our special school and this place we have loved for 13 years. But we are so grateful to be together and to pour love together.”
“We have received so many messages from friends offering their homes, food, clothes, hugs, baby items, support and we are just blown away, 😭,” she added. “That’s what keeps bringing us to tears. Thank you, it means a lot to us. More soon. ❤️.”
Sarah’s post has garnered more than 1,200 comments and many celebrities have sent well wishes to the family.
“I can’t imagine how you feel right now,” the actress wrote Robin Tunney. “You are such a strong and (solid) family unit, I know you will do well, but that can’t make the shock any easier right now.”
Hilary Duff he added: “Oh my my. 😞 sending mountains of love,” while Christie Brinkley he commented, “I’m sorry to see this, but I’m glad you’re all safe together. ❤️🩹”
The Fires in Los Angeles so far they have killed at least 27 people and destroyed more than 12,300 structures. The Pacific Palisades fire, which was 22 percent contained as of Thursday, Jan. 16, hit many celebrities as it tore through an affluent residential neighborhood. Except for Eric and his family Paris Hilton, Heidi Monday and Spencer Pratt, Billy Crystal, Leighton Meester and Adam Brody and others lost their homes.
Many, including those who either had to evacuate or saw their homes completely burned, stepped up to help those in need during the fires. Jamie Lee Curtiswho said on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon earlier this month “everything” in her community was destroyed, pledged $1 million to help efforts.
Eva Longoria and Beyonce are among other celebrities who have contributed seven-figure sums, while some have pitched in by donating their time and supplies. Jay Leno spent time on Monday, January 13 serving food to Los Angeles firefighters Jessica Alba helped the non-profit organization Baby2Baby prepare hygiene kits against fire for children.
