Ryan Reynolds is expanding his football empire!
The Deadpool and Wolverine star and his Co-owner of Wrexham AFC, Rob McElhenneywere named on Thursday 16 January among a group of investors to take over top-flight Colombian team Club Deportivo La Equidad Seguros.
According to Bloomberg and ESPNthe group of investors is led by a real estate investor Al Tylis and football manager Sam Porterwho both own a stake in the Mexican soccer team Necaxa. “We welcome Al Tylis and Sam Porter who come with a clear, long-term vision to continue strengthening our club,” La Equidad said in a statement via X on Thursday. “This is the first step towards a future full of opportunities.”
