SpaceX loses Starship on test flight

SpaceX lost communication with its Starship spacecraft while en route to space during its seventh test flight on Thursday.

According to SpaceX, the Starship experienced “a rapid unscheduled disassembly during its ascent” after its launch from Boca Chica, Texas.

Despite the failure, SpaceX managed to successfully trap the rocket booster in the launch tower upon its return.
