We have at least four months Nintendo Switch 2 official releasebut peripheral manufacturers beat Nintendo to the punch. Based on the latest trailer, Nintendo’s a new generation of dockable handheld devices is likely to release a new Mario Kart game, and a manufacturer wants you to ride in style with the JoyCons.
on Friday, Nintendo Life the first blow to the accessory manufacturer Naco’s early peripherals. These include a steering wheel with docks for the new JoyCons. Priced at €29.90, or about $30, the steering wheel uses suction cups to stick to your table or desk as you take tight turns in the yet-to-be-announced mascot-themed cart racer. It has two modes, one upright and one flat, which is a unique feature you don’t usually get with many similar steering wheels. Still, it’s nothing we haven’t seen before with the original Switch including motion controls on the JoyCons.
Early renderings of the Switch 2 controllers don’t look anything like Nintendo’s recently revealed device, especially the joysticks, which don’t have a large overlapping bezel. It’s probably another device built on specs sent to peripheral manufacturers before Nintendo announced the Switch sequel. Nacon also has some silicone-embedded JoyCon covers, some external Switch 2 covers, and a carrying case.
Nacon’s peripherals are fueling fans’ suspicions that we’ll finally get a sequel to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. While footage of the game has been seen for a few seconds in the Switch 2 trailer, fans have already seen that up to 24 racers can be on the track at the same time. Fans also noted that Donkey Kong is a model it looks like what it looks like The Super Mario Bros movie from about an 8-year-old in a chariot racing game.
Thanks to their own leaks, we know that Dbrand, Genki, and likely many other smaller brands are planning to share their own Switch 2 accessories. DBrand’s Killswitch case includes a cover and extra kickstand to go along with the Switch 2’s U-shaped stand.
Genki’s original images look particularly interesting, as he revealed early mockups of the new JoyCons that are virtually identical to the ones Nintendo showed off on January 16th, right down to the blue and red accents around the joysticks. Genki also shared a charging dock big enough to bring two pairs together.

Thanks to an obscene number of early device mockup leaks, we already know a lot of third-party cases. However, we don’t have anything that suggests new capabilities for the Switch 2 JoyCons or the console itself. Based on Nintendo’s video, we can only assume that the controllers will work like a mouse when scrolling across the table. We’d also like to know if the Switch 2 dock adds any graphics capabilities to the handheld. Rumors and leaks suggest the Switch 2 It can support 4K resolution when docked.
The unknowns continue to drive the collective wild, not an ill-conceived notion that these brands have destroyed the “surprise”. On Friday, Bayonetta original director and current head of the upcoming Okami sequel Hideki Kamiya, He wrote on Twitter how much he despised leakers. “I hope all the Switch 2 leakers are cursed for the rest of their lives with poop under their shoes when they go home,” he said, according to a machine-translated post.
He continued, “…I enjoyed Okami’s surprise announcement with all the users now, I truly believe… all these damn leakers should be cursed… The evil leaker only acts for his own pleasure and self-gratification, not only does he contribute to no one’s good, but suffers every loss of opportunity, and has done nothing to be proud of? others.”
Former Nintendo PR manager Krista Yang had very similar thoughts about him YouTube channel along with former Nintendo employee Kit Ellis. He said Nintendo will have a harder time surprising fans, saying he’s “100% sure” Nintendo is “really mad… very, very, very upset” by the leaks. Ellis said Nintendo’s regular processes to control the release of information “didn’t work” and the leaks were “made worse by the perception that (Nintendo) can control everything.”
Nintendo has been working on the Switch 2 for years, offering only the tiniest bit of information at the time. The company needed corporate accounts finally confirm the existence of the console not for fans, but for investors. Nintendo’s tight-lipped attitude has created this spitting sensation among anyone not directly aware. If everyone needs to poop on their shoes, Nintendo should look at their soles first.
