Brittany Mahomes shares details of daughter Golden Ray’s nursery.
IN video on Instagram shared Thursday, January 16, Brittany said Crate and children that the inspiration behind the look of the nursery came from the moniker she and husband Patrick Mahomes to choose for his second daughter.
“When I found out I was having a girl, my mind immediately went to pink for the nursery,” Brittany explained, showing off the blush walls with gold accents. “I really wanted to be very warm and pink in Golden’s nursery. And then of course binding in gold just because to go with her name it was really where we got most of the inspiration for her room.”
As the video revealed the small details of their nursery, Brittany shared what she thinks is the most important piece in the space, revealing a cozy rocking chair in one of the room’s corners.
“I think this is the most important part of the kindergarten in its construction. As a mom, you spend a lot of time in this chair, whether you’re breastfeeding, bottle-feeding, reading books to them, doing your nighttime routine. So it has to be comfortable,” she explained. “I made the ottoman because Patrick is a lot taller than me, so we can adjust it for our legs depending on who’s sitting in it,” she said.
As mother of three children she continued, also showing off one of the bookshelves in the nursery and revealing one of the “super cute” detail changes they made. “We traded buttons for golden bows. Bows are so cute for a little girl and then obviously it goes with her name,” Brittany commented.
Brittany and Patrick welcomed Golden Ray on Sunday, January 12th. Golden joins her two older siblings, 3-year-old Sterling Skye and 2-year-old Patrick “Bronze” Lavon Mahomes III.
