The biggest names in music join forces for a pair of FireAid benefit concerts support the displaced recent and ongoing forest fires.
Katy Perry, John Mayer, Lady Gaga, Billie Eilish and Gwen Stefani were among the A-Listers scheduled to perform at two upcoming shows, according to a press release. There will be other artists included Dave MatthewsEarth, Wind & Fire, Gracie Abrams, Green Day, Jelly Roll, Joni Mitchell, Tate McRae, Rod Stewart, Sting and the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
The concerts will even be the first time that Mayer (47) and Matthews (58) will perform together.
The benefit show will take place at the Intuit Dome and Kia Forum’s own California venues on Thursday, January 30. The show will also be broadcast by select AMC theaters and online via Apple Music, Max, Netflix, YouTube and other streaming platforms.

The one-night-only event will raise funds to help rebuild communities devastated by natural disaster and help prevent similar incidents in the future.
“Contributions to FireAid will be distributed under the Annenberg Foundation’s recommendation for short-term relief efforts and long-term initiatives to prevent future fires,” the press release said. “With decades of philanthropic leadership in our community, including rapid response, the Annenberg Foundation will help coordinate the team to direct funds with the greatest impact. All proceeds from the FireAid benefit concert at the Intuit Dome and Kia Forum will go directly to the designated beneficiaries of the event, as the LA Clippers will cover the millions of dollars in expenses associated with the event.”

“This is the most valuable thing I own. It’s a folder of photos of my dad that covers his life as a baby, educator, husband and father. It is the only evidence of his life that will exist over time,” Mayer he wrote via Instagram January 9. “These are the ‘documentaries’ you read about people being taken from their homes. When you hear someone say they lost everything in a fire, this is a lot of everything, if not everything. Those who say they will be fine still have their folders and albums. Those who are inconsolable have lost them. Right behind the immeasurable loss of life is the loss of proof of life.”
He added: “I don’t practice a prayer, but tonight I will say one for everyone who no longer has these things. It’s not about art and collectibles. They are photos, letters, class rings, glasses and things we keep to remind us that the ones we loved were there. May those who have lost so much find some semblance of hope and support in their family and friends. Stay safe, take care of yourself and each other, and believe that humanity and all that it brings is alive and well, even if it’s hard to see sometimes. This is really devastating.”
As for the benefit concert, Mayer wrote in a note on Instagram that it was an “honor” to be included in the performance lineup.
“I am honored to be able to help a cause as important as rebuilding lives and communities that have been devastated by wildfires,” he wrote Thursday.
The FireAid benefit concert begins on Thursday, January 30th at 6:00 PM PT and will be simulcast on multiple streaming platforms. Tickets go on sale Wednesday, January 22nd at 12pm ET via Ticketmaster.
